Zunaed Siddique

Zunaed Siddique Biography
Zunaed Siddique is a left handed opening batsman from the Bangladeshi team, and plays for Rajshahi Division in the first class circuit of Bangladesh. Nicknamed Imrose by his team mates, he made his first class debut in 2003-04 as a 16 year old, and went on to impress the selectors and he was pitch-forked into the Bangladesh A team at a very young age. He also managed to make it to the 30 member squad for the 2007 World Cup, but failed to make the cut.

However, he was soon chosen for the 2007-08 series against New Zealand in alien conditions, where he made both, his ODI and Test debuts. He scored only one run in the first innings, but slammed a 70 in the second and was involved in a 160 run stand with Tamim Iqbal. His next six innings though, brought him only 100 odd runs.

His ODI debut was also against the Kiwis, but in the first six matches he played, he scored only forty one runs and was involved in a 5-0 whitewash of his team at the hands of Pakistan.

He had a good T20 debut though, smashing his way to a 71 in the World T20 against Pakistan.
