Mahmudullah

Mahmudullah Biography
Mahmudullah is a cricketer from Bangladesh who has played first class cricket for Dhaka Division. He has been performing wonderfully well in the Dhaka division, and that enabled him to be selected for the Bangladesh A team. He bats in the middle order, and bowls part time off-spinners.

He made his first class debut in the 2004-05, and then made his ODI debut in 2007 against Sri Lanka. He had an impressive outing, picking up a couple of wickets, and scoring a well knitted 36, yet Bangladesh lost that match. He then went on to score his first fifty in ODIs against Pakistan, thus cementing his place in the side.

Mahmudullah is known to his team mates as Riyad and went on to play his first T20 match against Kenya in quadrangular series with Pakistan and Uganda being the other two teams. However, he was dropped from the ODI team which went to New Zealand and got replaced by Nazmul Hossain, clearly a better medium pace option on the Kiwi pitches.
